New .ZIP File Format for Downloads
Collins navigation databases have transitioned from .EXE files to a .ZIP file format for downloads. This change affects all navigation and supporting auxiliary downloads except for PERF, VSPD, and HRTDB. These will be migrated to the .ZIP format before the end of 2025. The notice supporting this change can be viewed on the Database Alerts, Exclusions, and Certifications page HERE. To support this transition, a newly updated Downloading Instructions help document has been provided to offer a step-by-step guide on how to properly download and extract the files for upload onto your aircraft.
