ECMT (Electronic Checklist Management Tool) for Pro Line Fusion aircraft

What is it:

ECMT is a tool for creating checklists and building loadable files for use on an aircraft with Pro Line Fusion software and the ECL (Electronic Checklist) display application.  ECMT is stored and executed from Collins servers in the United States, and can be accessed over the internet via the RCPX / Citrix portal (rcpx-us.ra.rockwellcollins.com).  Access to the portal requires an account with an annual subscription fee.

How to get an account:

If you are an Owner/Operator/Airline of one or more aircraft with Pro Line Fusion, please contact collinsfmssubscriptions@collins.com to obtain the forms for requesting an account.

Basic form instructions:

  1. The GTA (General Terms Agreement) form is the basic legal agreement.  Sign and date this, and check the box for Exhibit E - ECMT.

  2. Exhibit E.  This are a few ECMT specific legal additions to the GTA.  By signing the GTA with Exhibit E checked, you acknowledge that the agreement includes the provisions from Exhibit E.

  3. ECMT Subscription form.  This is a request to set up the payment subscription.  List out your information and aircraft details.  Include the list of people who will need accounts, the annual fee is per-person per year.

  4. RCPX request form (.htm).  Open this in a browser and fill out as much as you can digitally.  Make sure to fill in your citizenship, even if USA, and tick the box under access requirements for CS-CASE-PAID-SUBSCRIBER.  Then print, sign, date, and give to your manager.  Make sure your manager ticks the boxes for Verifies citizenship, and for Certifies PIEA or Contract in place and have the manager sign and date.  (We won't accept unless these are done).  Scan in the resulting doc.

    1. If there is no one at the company who can sign as your "manager", then sign as yourself on the manager line.

  5. Send all the above files to collinsfmssubscriptions@collins.com

What to Expect:

I've submitted my ECMT subscription forms, now what?

  1. After an initial assessment of the subscription forms, the Subscriptions team will send an invoice for payment of the yearly subscription.

  2. Once payment is received, Collins will begin the process of creating an ECMT account.  This can take up to ten business days, starting from when we receive payment.

  3. You will receive two emails from cim@collins.com, one with a certificate and a username, and a second email with your password.  The security certificate must be installed on your computer, and the username and password will provide access to the RCPX portal.  While these will not mention ECMT or checklists, the RCPX portal is your method for accessing the tool.
If it has been more than 2 weeks since submitting payment, and you have not received these emails, please contact AvionicsSupport@collins.com

  4. The first time you log into the RCPX portal you will be prompted to install a few applications which are dependencies for running tools from the Portal.  These dependencies include Pulse Secure components, and Citrix Workspace.  If you have any trouble getting these components to install, please contact your local IT department first, to resolve any local policies which may be preventing the installs.  And if still having trouble, please contact the support phone number on the RCPX login page.

  5. Once logged into the RCPX portal you should see an icon for "CASE CM" under the APPS list.

  6. After selecting the CASE CM icon, if you receive an error about not having access, please contact AvionicsSupport@collins.com, as your tool permissions haven't been configured yet.

Getting Started with Checklists:

Introductory videos are available here: https://portal.rockwellcollins.com/web/support-self-service/self-help-videos, under the "ECMT (Electronic Checklist Management Tool)" heading.

  1. Open the article and follow along as you watch the video for Configuration Management Basics.

  2. In the CASE CM tool, open the Configuration Manager and create a new Dataset and a new Work Package like you saw in the video.

  3. Close the Configuration Manager.  If you don't see a link for Configuration Manager, contact AvionicsSupport@collins.com, as your tool permissions are not completed yet.

  4. If you have baseline checklists from an OEM:

    1. Open the article and watch the video for How to Import Checklists.

    2. From the CASE CM Welcome Page, expand the Work Package and double click on the Dataset within it, to open the ECMT editor.

    3. Run the import for your baseline checklists, like you saw in the video.

    4. Refresh ECMT to see the newly created data.  If you don't see anything, check for errors in the log within the ZIP file placed at the folder you selected during the import.

  5. Open the article and watch the videos for How to Create a Checklist, and Line-Item Overview.

  6. From the CASE CM Welcome Page, expand the Work Package and double click on the Dataset within it, to open the ECMT editor.

  7. Create or edit the desired checklists within the Work Package.  Address any Warnings/Errors that are shown in the Problems View tab at the bottom.

  8. Open the article and watch the video for How to Generate Loadable Files.

  9. From the ECMT editor, go to Tools->Generate Loadable Files and create the artifacts from your modified Dataset, that can be dataloaded onto your aircraft.  If there are any unresolved Errors/Warnings in the Problems View in ECMT, you will be prevented from building.   (Select the top-level Dataset in ECMT to see the Errors/Warnings for everything.)

  10. If you are unsure about how to dataload the checklists onto your aircraft, please contact Avionics Support at 319-295-5000, option 1, option 1, or AvionicsSupport@collins.com

Troubles with the RCPX portal:

Please consult the following tips and tricks document: https://portal.rockwellcollins.com/documents/796122/7567941/Citrix_Support.pdf/47f30b14-66e2-2224-d81e-98f74a0678b6?t=1637340005817

If the CASE CM link is not working, you can also try this workaround.  Download the following file (link), and extract the ZIP file to some place on your local C drive.  Then from the RCPX portal, select the Desktop icon (instead of CASE CM), and opt for Read-Write permission if prompted.  Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the Local Disk C and run the CaseLaunch that you extracted.
